Make this delicious Christmas breakfast casserole the night before; All you have to do is pop it in the oven to bake and you’re ready to get back to the excitement of Christmas morning!

What you need

(serves 6)
Ground sausage, one pound
Mustard powder, 1 teaspoon
1/3 teaspoon kosher salt
Beaten eggs, four large
2 quarts whole milk
Toasted white bread and diced, six pieces
Shredded mild cheddar cheese, 1 cup
The Best Way to Make a Christmas Morning Casserole
In a medium skillet, crumble the sausage.
Drain after it is evenly browned over medium heat.
Mix milk, eggs, salt, mustard powder and mustard in a medium bowl.
Place sausage, bread pieces and cheese in a bowl and stir until everything is coated.Place in a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish.

Store covered in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.
