Hawaiian Ham and Cheese sandwich

Set your grill pan or sandwich press over medium heat.
Should you so choose, put mayonnaise on one side of each piece of bread and honey mustard on the other.
Layer a pineapple ring, a piece of Swiss cheese and a slice of ham on each of the four slices of bread. Cover with yet another piece of bread.
Dot each sandwich with a thin coating of butter on the top and bottom.
Arrange the sandwiches in a grill pan or sandwich press that has been heated.
Cook until golden brown and cheese is melted, 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
Take off of the stove and give it a minute to cool before serving.
Present the sandwiches warm, sliced in half.
Pickles and Toppings Before you add the upper slab of rolls, top the ham with some sliced dill pickles.
Caramelised onions: Spread a layer of caramelised onions underneath the cheese for a taste explosion of sweetness and savour.
Who doesn’t like crispy bacon? Over the ham, arrange a layer of crisp fried bacon slices.
Roasted Red Peppers: Sprinkle some pieces of these peppers over the cheese for a little color and smokiness.
