– 350 g (12 oz) spaghetti
– 2 cups marinara sauce
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

2. Prepare the meatballs: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix the ingredients together until well combined. Shape the mixture into meatballs, approximately 1 inch in diameter.

3. Cook the spaghetti: Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until it reaches an al dente texture. Drain the spaghetti and set it aside.

4. Brown the meatballs: In a large skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs to the skillet and cook them until they are browned on all sides. This step helps to develop a rich flavor in the meatballs.

5. Combine the ingredients: In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place the cooked spaghetti on top of the sauce. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the spaghetti, ensuring it is evenly coated. Arrange the browned meatballs on top of the sauce.

6. Add the cheese and bake: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the meatballs and spaghetti. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.

7. Serve and garnish: Once baked, remove the dish from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired. Serve the baked spaghetti and meatballs hot, allowing everyone to dig in and enjoy the flavors.
